I shared the somewhat unpopular opinion that I almost never use PayPal but instead use Twint almost exclusively. 🚀 Fresh news from Apple's developer conference: Apple Pay will soon be available not just in Safari, but in other browsers as well. This is great news for improving your customer experience and conversion rates, regardless of which browser they use. A similar change a few years ago, which allowed Apple Pay in webviews for third-party apps, significantly boosted the popularity of this payment method, especially for merchants relying on social ads. Looking forward, I bet this new update will have a similar effect, making Apple Pay an even more popular payment method. Surprisingly, even today, I see merchants not utilizing it in their checkout processes. However, Apple Pay is a more complex payment instrument than regular cards, especially if you have a more demanding use case (e.g., using an orchestration platform or relying on a subscription business model). Today marks the end of my first month with Pack GTM | SaaS Sales Recruitment in Germany and I feel I've already learnt a lot 🤓 In my opinion, working in a smaller environment has a lot of advantages. New draft bill on German AML law is out. Great news. Hope to see it becoming reality very soon. Amen. Some of the smaller players in the market are very happy as they see doors open for them to push their services in the name of automated solutions (security is second thought), pay attention. Knowing the #German, #French, #Swiss and other EU regulators over the years, they don’t fool around and do not take security and privacy for granted. New draft makes it very clear that regulators want ease of use and better user experience for consumers but not compromise on security. Who Cares? In Germany, a staggering 117 billion hours are devoted annually to tasks such as preparing meals, assisting with homework, or chauffeuring family members to appointments. This crucial yet often overlooked labor, referred to as care work, remains uncompensated. Statistics reveal a gender disparity in unpaid care work, with women dedicating 44.3 percent more time daily compared to men. Even though the number of men taking care for unpaid care work is increasing, the gender care gap translates into economic disparities, limited career prospects, and heightened financial dependence for women, consequently impacting their retirement security. Care work continues to be undervalued, frequently hided from resumes, and rendered invisible in societal discourse. In April, a new venture emerged on LinkedIn, swiftly garnering attention as a significant employer on the platform. Founded by a woman, this company boasts a workforce predominantly comprising highly skilled women. These individuals exhibit remarkable attributes including adaptability, resilience, leadership acumen, negotiation prowess, empathy, foresight, organizational proficiency, and financial acumen. On May 1st, the company's founder disseminated an employee newsletter, emphatically asserting, "Care work is work—work without which our economy would falter." With aspirations for "Unpaid Care Work" to become one of Germany's fastest-growing enterprises, the founder envisions catalyzing a broader societal shift, transcending the confines of LinkedIn.
